The numbers for December are out. Orange County real estate is still doing well. True, houses are sitting on the market longer, but some still sell. In fact, Sales were 3% higher than sales of the month before. The average price is close to $650,000.
People ask me if it is still a buyers market. Yes, if you are a buyer you have a chance to negotiate more on the price of a house. Although, I have seen buyers do anything in order to go to escrow on the house they fell in love with.
